I’m a screenwriter and filmmaker and I really enjoy the grittier or darker side of stories and storytelling. Most of the time when I make stuff it’s purely out of my own emotions and what I’m feeling at the time of writing.
Lately I’ve been in a really bad slump and this new idea for a screenplay has been bouncing around in my head but I feel the urge to go a really dark route I haven’t gone down before, forcing characters to mock or curse God.
Just curious if anyone else writes or makes other sorts of art and gets urges to make that kind of angry art, and how they either go about it or go against it. Any opinions are cool :)
