Celibate Same-Sex Relationship
Post Body

I am a gay man and have been in a relationship with boyfriend for 4 years total. I am Protestant and he is Catholic. We have been intimate in the past because I did not feel convicted having intercourse with him. As time has gone on, I have become more and more side B with my theology. I have read that a number of celibate gay Christians have been in celibate relationships where there is no sex involved. I asked my boyfriend, with whom I have been talking about being civilly married to, about me being celibate. He said that he would still be with me and be faithful to me because he loves me. My boundaries are that we would only peck each other when we kiss and cuddle, and everything else other than that would be a normal relationship. What is your view on this type of relationship? And before you say I will be tempted all of the time, we have already not been intimate in months because our sexual chemistry hasn't been that great and I am more emotionally attracted to him than anything.
