I got bashed on for supporting Obama.

I know that I'm not supposed to mix my relationship with God and politics. But, everybody that bashed on me was a Christian. Right-winged all the way, but Christian. Can somebody explain to me why they bashed on me?
BTW I'm a strong faithed Christian as well, one that tries to live like Christ, not one that follows rules.
