Few disclaimers - I’m not supposing I am the first Christian to do this kind of work. I also looked if there were any similar posts and couldn’t find anything. I am posting this because, before my conversion (and even now, really) Christian’s working with the marginalized was foreign and entirely unlikely. If anything, the Christian’s I knew just wanted to lock people up. Forgiveness only extended so far. This is especially true for sex offenders. More than having a personal conviction towards this kind of ministry, I find it has strong biblical support. I do not think myself any better than anyone else. I do not think God likes me more than anyone else. My ego is quite dead, thanks be to God.

So if you have questions about what it’s like, why I think it is biblical, etc feel free to ask. I’m fairly new but I’ll do my best to answer questions.
