I am working on an opportunity to start an annual gathering in Las Vegas for Christians in the Lifestyle. How this came about?
I am working with a group who are doing a more upscale Lifestyle Convention the first week in August in Las Vegas. It is a 5 day 4 night event, and they also have a vacation option attached to the front end for those who also want to experience Vegas and which is a 11 day 10 night option that includes a touristy experience for the first half and includes the afore mentioned lifestyle event on the second half.
During the event, there would be a morning and an afternoon track of seminars and activities for Christians in the lifestyle, Christians considering the lifestyle and those in the Lifestyle who are interested in becoming Christians.
From this Reddit group, I would like to find out...
- What would your level of interest be for something like this?
- What topics would be of most interest to you?
Once the topics are zeroed in on, then we would put out a request for speakers or presenters. All total there would be six 90 minute seminars or presentations.
Those who are Christians would be encouraged to identify by wearing a cross pin, but this would not be required.

For the combination Vacation & Lifestyle Events - July 28th to August 6th.
The Vacation elements are from my and another professional Vegas event planner's favorite best of Vegas experiences. Including (though pricey) a once in a lifetime helicopter experience around the strip and Las Vegas at Dusk and early evening. And my husband's favorite, a couple of hours at the Pinball Museum (400 pinball machines - all playable for a quarter, even the very old classics).
For the oriented Lifestyle Events - August 2nd to August 6th.
Attendees can mix and match Christian focused seminars, excursions, presentations and social mixers with the overall Lifestyle seminars, excursions, presentations and social mixers.
The formal announcement of this event will be around January 1st, but the hotel has been booked for the event. So this will be happening.
Creating a Statement of Faith - A Doctrine for Us All
A few of you are aware of this already because we have been discussing that those interested in attending on August 1st, a one day Christians in the Lifestyle event with a purpose of defining a collective Doctrine for Christians that incorporates our beliefs. I have a magazine willing to publish a summary when we finish it.
On August 1st, for those interested, I will be treating everyone to a lunch gathering with a world championship pit master and some of the most amazing BBQ ever. A session from 1:00 to 2:30. An afternoon ice cream social poolside and then an afternoon session from 3:30 to 5:00. A Chef Led Dinner experience at 7:00 - Foods and Wines of Italia. Wrap up the day with a social cocktail event in the Penthouse suite.
This will become an annual event and the Tuesday doctrinal summit will also be happening for the next 3 years as we define our beliefs and our exploration of His word, His Commandment, His Commission, as we explore what His Church would evolve to.

Great suggestions! Right after the first of the year, I will start to focus on this. The venue is secured, and I am very excited to move this forward.
Unfortunately the only time you can do hotel takeovers in Las Vegas is during the summer season. October to March all of the trade shows such as CES, SHOT, NAB, SEMA take up everything in town with these massive trade shows.
And the summer months here are scorching. It's why I prefer all of the pool parties, especially the 100% clothing optional pool parties.
I emphasize with the summer vacation plan. When the kids were young, we went out every Memorial Day Weekend (school lets out in mid-May in Texas), did a week mid-summer, and ended the summer after school is back in session with a mini-vacation over Labor Day weekend.
To clarify, people can attend this in one of two ways. An Event package which is like any other Hotel Takeover. This means that from August 2 to 6, the lifestyle event has taken over all of the hotel, restaurants, meeting rooms, everything.
The vacation package is an option that provides a vacation for 6 days and 5 nights in advance of the Event period which is 5 Days and 4 Nights. Some people like this option to get more bang for their airfare dollar.
I added a day prior to the event and in the middle of the event-vacation package for those interested in working on a doctrinal paper. It's not for everyone, you have to be pretty motivated to want to work on something like this.
Most lifestyle events (Takeovers) included classes, seminars, excursions, and meet and greets. They are planned all day similar to how a cruise ship works. You can do anything you like - either the planned activities or make up your own.

So let's chat about one of your topics, the importance of sons cleaving themselves.
This classic Genesis verse is part of the foundation of Christian Marriage. For a former Catholic, Marriage is one of the sacraments (as it is with many other doctrines).
This begins the complicated concept for most men of being the "Head of Household" which is really what much of this verse is about. A man shall leave his father and mother. This man begins his household and part of that process is to "cleave" unto his wife.
It's the last part that becomes interesting because there is a HUGE debate about what that translation is. The candidates are...
United [to his wife] and they become one flesh [is] joined to his wife and the two are united unto one Hold Fast to his wife and they will become one flesh Shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh Bonds with his wife and they shall be one flesh shall cleave to his wife and they shall be the two of them one flesh clings to his wife and teh two of them become one body. He marries a woman and the two of them become like one person Unites with his wife and they become a new family [in my opinion the the best intended translation].
We have hundreds of years of translation that cannot agree on the second half of this verse. Why? The answer may be in the simple concept that a man leaves his mother and father where his father is the head of household when he marries and takes a wife starting his own family and becoming his own head of household.
The most common quoted passages in the Bible about husbands loving wives and wives loving husbands tend to be in Paul letters as it is in Ephesians 5:25-28. I counted over a hundred references in the Bible pertaining to how husbands should treat their wives and how wives should treat their husbands. Most of these references are from Paul's letters. And while we can draw parallels to almost everything in your daily Christian lives to the Great Commandment, it is important to understand that it is both a Commandment and a Philosophy for Life at the same time. It's important that we all work so that this philosophy manifests itself in our daily lives. When we see someone drop a dollar and not notice it, we pick it up, get their attention and return it. We did it because it is the right thing to do. So as we look into how we participate in sexual activities, recreational or marital, are we doing the right thing, treat the recipient of our sex as we ourselves would like to be treated. Blessings!

Unfortunately Clark County won't let you have a nude pool. The exception being the lifestyle clubs which notch into a grey area. So a lot of the takeovers in Vegas will also book space at Whispers or Red Rooster (more so Whispers as they have a very large pool area). There are topless pools, I blog both on Reddit and several visit Vegas sites on which of the Pool Parties are the best in terms of Mediterranean Pools (code for top optional pools) and the Sapphire Strip club has a topless pool as well.
