I loved the quote, "God is not as mean as his followers". I hope you don't mind my soon to be frequent use of it.

I frequently state my beliefs that the Church screwed up doctrine from the get-go. St. Paul being in such a rush to set standards in place where Christians would stand-out in a community wrote letters as remote sermons that described what was good verses bad behaviors for Christians. The way that the Western Church, adopted them with such fervor from a man who did not know or walk with Christ during his time on earth, sometimes baffles me.

For me the Christian is defined by what Christ specifically said, His Great Commandment, the Great Commission, the Last Supper, his sermons, teachings, and behaviors. So it begins with the Gospels and works out from there.

God gave us an amazing gift that allows us to participate in Sex and find great enjoyment out of it and we have so many ways to practice it.

So my question to you is, having set my foundation; How do we address those who challenge sexual expression, by quoting Corinthians or Theologians (as a few out of many examples)?
