Syncretic for Pantheist

For those not familiar with these terms.

Syncretism refers to the blending or combination of different beliefs or practices from different religious or philosophical traditions.

In many ways, Christianity is a blending. The blending of the traditional Hebrew Bible and traditions with what Christ presented and taught us during his time here on earth. Often a source of my frustration is the use of Scripture Bombs thrown into Christian Doctrine from the Old Testament. I have proposed as a school of thought that there is three sources of scripture; The Pre-Christ Testament, Christ's Testament (the Gospel) and the Post-Christ Testament that talks about Christianity post Christ' Ascension.

But I digress. I simply wanted to point out that Syncretism is part of Christianity origins.

As for Pantheism, while it is a specific philosophical perspective stating that the universe and everything in it is divine or sacred. I wonder what Christ's thoughts are about this as all of the universe is God's creation. I find a Great Enigma in the Book of Job whereby the Hosts of Heaven are addressed. Are the Hosts of Heaven just the angels and other heavenly beings who serve God? Or does it also include (as some scholars believe) the hosts of heaven may refer to other celestial bodies or civilizations beyond our own.

So I would not say know to Syncretic for Pantheist, I put it into the category of - we will know for sure when Christ returns.

The answer to your question is faith. We have no idea what is true and what isn't . We trust that the Gospels are true and when I evaluate my internal feelings, I simply know that Christ is my path. And while I believe in his miracles, is teaching and his resurrection, I know that it is based on faith and faith alone. I could spend an hour writing about why I think my faith is right over someone in Islam, but it simply doesn't matter. Everyone needs to decide for themselves. But I have reasons why I believe that my faith in Christ is right. BUT I went drinking tonight with my girlfriends. To get back to my roots, I drank good ole PBR. So I am going happily to bed now, but very disappointed that there is no sex at the end of this righteous beer buzz I have going! Kissses Vixen!
