Hi, I am 29 and was born into a Christian family, where since childhood till age 22 I attended church and was a strong a believer. However, after something happened at age 18 coupled with oppression from the Church and family, I moved away from Christianity for a long time. Yet, recently after going through a breakup with a non-christian girl, I have began to realize how important the Christian values of marriage are and how they can have a positive impact on a long term relationship.
I still have my doubts and issues with God as I faced a lot of oppression from the Church when I asked questions about the Bible and was seen as an outcast, but I believe that despite the negative past a Christian girl that truly loves God and can be someone who will love and care about me is the right person for me.
I have had some really nice-non Christian friends but what I have come to realize that what separates Christian marriage from a non-Christian marriage are the Biblical values of marriage and the love of God.
When I love someone, I put that person first and strive to continuously improve in becoming someone better towards that person, I am a good listener and can pay attention to every word she says even if she goes on talking for an hour on a monologue, I like to do things for that person such as cook her favorite meal, buy her favorite drink fruits whatever she likes and just be that person who will care about her and grow old together with her. I have also have scolded or had a fight or argument with anyone I have dated because when I truly love someone I become this person that never wants to do anything to hurt the other person's feelings in any way.
In terms of hobbies and interest, I have a plethora of them and have traveled to a few countries but right now everyday after work I head down to the beach and read a book for an hour as the sun sets over the horizon.
If you want someone who will love you unconditionally to the point where it does not matter how your appearance changes over time or what you become later on positive or negative. Let's get to know each other better and see how things.
Yes, I have not read the Bible in years, yes, I don't feel comfortable going to Church but I still hope that one day I get to a point in life where I can grow in God's love and grace together.
I have prayed for 13 years that God will lead to a Christian life-partner and I hope through this post a miracle can take place.
