Hey everyone,
I'm sure this question has been asked a few times on here but hoping to create a recent one if this hasn't been asked in a while. 27M and Nondenominational Christian here that matched with a cute Presbyterian girl on Upward a few weeks ago. We went our first date this weekend which involved dinner and a show. We had a brief exchange about about our testimonies, talked about our common interests in theatre and acting and our pursuits of wanting to become working actors. I even took the initiative to pray for us before we ate. She also felt comfortable riding in my car with me from our meet-up location to the theater on the first date as well. She thanked me for taking her to see the show, which she loved and even thanked me twice over text for such a wonderful time when she let me know that she made it home. I can tell that she really had a great time and enjoyed my company and I felt the same and even felt a connection with her.
I'm ready to ask her out on a second date right after posting this, but now I'm having second thoughts about her feelings because of the difference between our denominations. I've been a follower of Christ for years and find myself growing closer to God this year to help me battle my struggles with anxiety and depression. Her central beliefs seem to line up with mine and she's very supportive of Nondenominational Churches as her sister's family attends one. Is it possible for this to work out for us or should I just accept that we're an unequally yoked pair and move on?
EDIT: Thanks for all the replies guys. You all gave me a lot to read and so much to take in. I actually did hear back from her yesterday after asking her out. She said she also felt a connection too and would love to go out again. Weβre in the process of planning our second date on Friday. Say a prayer for me everyone :)
