Post Body

So this story isn't recent but a while back, but it's been bothering me to this day.

I was nerding out on a Zelda Symphony (so you can guess how many months ago this was) and just came out pretty darn happy. I did dress up in the whole proper symphony attendee attire but also decide to have some fun with it and came with the trade mark green hat and shield and sword.

While I'm leaving some person walks right up to me and starts talking to me asking about whats with the get up. Making small talk and all that... calling me "Zelda" and just following me all the way while I walked to my car (it was a long walk, I parked far... cause downtown parking)

Now that should have set me off as, who in this town walks the same direction as you as you turn multiple intersection, but I was still pretty happy with my night.

Finally the man got more to his objective?

"Listen. You hungry?"

Not really I don't eat much

"Man I'm really hungry right now, I could use a McDonald"

That's great I guess

"Could you get me something, you'd be the most awesome Zelda man"

I got a little annoyed about the Zelda comment again, but decided not to comment as not everyone knows about the series, and he did talk an awful lot, I can indulge in getting him a sandwich, heck a double.

So I said fine whatever and he told me to follow him to the McDonald over there, but when I got in and went to the kiosk, he left and went to a corner to talk to a couple of people that seemingly knew each other.

At this point I'm like, whatever I'll get him his slip and I'm going to go home. So I walk up to him to give him the pick up slip and he ignores me to talk to his buddies(?). When he's finally finishing catching up, he takes the slip and looks at it and just said

"Yo, nah. It's gotta be a Big Mac"

I'm just like, excuse me?

Apparently since we're at a McDonald, a double hamburger is just not right. When you're at a McDonald you have to get a Big Mac cause "everyone knows that".

At this point I'm just upset and I start walking towards the door but he thought I was walking towards the kiosk to get that "gotta be a Big Mac" and asked if I could get 2 more for the lovely ladies he was talking to.

I just waved goodbye without turning around and left and felt like a sucker...

Night ruined.
