Hello everyone. A little terrified right now.
I've always had higher cholesterol and have gained and lost weight over the years. Since January I've lost almost 60 pounds (down from 350 to 290) @ 6ft tall. I used to power lift so I'm not particularly flabby at 290 but need to be around 250 to really look and be athletic.
Anyway I'm 49 and have done my fair share of drinking and eating terrible for years at a time with periods of "in shape" as well. I got serious about getting in shape this year and have made a lot of progress. However, I just got my CTC test results a few minutes ago:
NUMBER OF CALCIFIED CORONARY ARTERY PLAQUES
Left Main: 0
Left Anterior Descending: 6
Circumflex: 7
Right Coronary Artery: 0
Total: 13
CORONARY ARTERY CALCIUM SCORE
Left Main: 0
Left Anterior Descending: 267.7
Circumflex: 43.4
Right Coronary Artery and PDA: 0
TOTAL AGATSTON SCORE: 311.1
Looks pretty bad. I haven't discussed with my doctor yet but am very concerned.
Total cholesterol 189, 47 HDL and LDL 127.
This was down from: Total cholesterol 221, 46 HDL and LDL 156 six months ago.
I literally just received these results and haven't discussed with the doctor yet. I know I need to take this seriously but just how bad is it?
