Recent stroke and prediabetic — making big lifestyle changes

Post Body

I’m 44 years young and spent two days in the hospital last week after a transient ischemic attack. No damage from it, thank goodness, but it was also determined that I’m prediabetic and probably have sleep apnea. My neurologist led me to the Mediterranean diet so I’m well on my way to making that change.

As for my cholesterol, we’ll, my hdl is way too low and my ldl is way too high. I’ve been put on a statin medication temporarily (started on Lipitor but it was eating my muscles so I’m switching to another one in a couple days). Besides diet and meds, any suggestions are welcome.
