Map development suggestion - low effort for high gains

I had a thought: instead of developing new maps from scratch, why not just edit/adapt the existing maps into new scenarios? For example, Masons now have to defend the ruined Thayic Stronghold from a Tenosian attack. Or the Masons attack Bridgetown. Some of the assets can be modified at a minimal cost to develop these map scenarios.
