Hi all,
Just as some background, I've been practicing now for about 3 years as an associate at a high volume practice in CA. While I have not had any injuries yet, I can definitely feel the toll physically on my body, and so have been thinking recently that I should look into getting disability insurance (not malpractice, already have that as part of the employment benefits) before something actually happens.
So, as per the title, where do you all get your disability insurance from? Are there any specific types of disability insurance I should be looking for or a provider that I should avoid? From my initial google search, I am seeing stuff about own-occupation and its alternative (better coverage vs cost saving). Are there any credible resources around that I can look at to compare options/do research?
Thanks all in advance!
