Can we be fired for not knowing "the knowledge"?
Post Body

So long story short; management at my location is horrible. I wanted to like the manager, but she doesn't know how to be a manager. Instead of punishing specific people who keep breaking rules, she's punishing the entire crew. It almost feels like she's treating us as "enemies" and trying to scare us into obeying her every word.

Anyway. Since the "main event" where her authority and decision-making abilities were questioned by concerned crew, she's coming up with these new rules. "At the beginning of every shift, you have to FIND ME an recite The Pepper, The Purpose, and the FS7" among afew other new rules that are more of an inconvenience to the crew than a help. It feels as though she's purposely trying to make things tedious as a sort of... Pay back. But my main concern is that she's creating reasons to fire people.

Anyway. My question is the title. I have a horrible memory. I can remember IDEAS... But she is requiring that we recite all of these things word-for-word. If we have the idea, but we get a word or order wrong, she gets pissed and doesn't accept the answer.

Can we be fired for not knowing The Pepper or The Purpose?
