I got trench foot from closing dish pit
Post Body

Hey fellow sufferers/proud employees!

I'm a closer at chipotle. Let me preface this with that I love my job, and I try not to complain about it. It genuinely has a lot of positives and the people I work with are lovely. I'm a prep closer, and have been for a few months.

I don't know if this is a standard across the board thing, but as prep I close dish pit every night and maintain it all day. Because of this, my shoes get very wet despite being water resistant Shoes for Crews. Over the past 2 days my feet started showing discoloration, and yesterday they were hurting so bad walking at work was very difficult.

This morning I went to Urgent Care and the doctor took a minute and went "do you know what trench foot is?". I apparently have a moderate to severe maceration of the skin along with chemical irritation from dish pit chems.

Tl;dr: make sure your feet stay dry, dish pit closers!
