Quick question and advice actually. I'm and employee in a Texas location and I've seen in a WSJ video that the CFO of Chipotle claimed that they can SERVE 100 people in fifteen minutes for one store. Even my manager agreed with that statement. Personally, I would call bullshit on this, cause the store I'm at has one register, and while I can create multiple tickets for all the meals I see coming down the line, I can't predict what every individual will want until I see what side is being put on the entree and then I immediately ring that up. On top of that, bagging the food (company policy), asking for what chips and drink they want along with the transaction takes at least 30 seconds to do, cause we have a slow ass register. And my manager gets mad at ME for not working faster. He even told me to be "faster" while I was monitoring a new trainee on register who was doing his best with customers while my position was to bag food and ask for any sides WHILE cleaning the lobby in between meals coming down the line. Point is, is there any way for me to work faster or is it time for me to call it quits and look for work somewhere else? Cause I have no other job prospects, and I'm looking.
