I am a manager working with an artist who is currently touring. A few concerts have already been canceled due to tightening restrictions on public events in San Francisco. However, we have an upcoming event in Washington that is still green-lighted. The other managers are hesitant to cancel the events that have been coordinated months in advance because of the virus. We will likely lose our deposits not to mention tens of thousands in ticket sales. However, I am concerned that we could help facilitate the spread of the virus if we let the concerts go on. I was wondering if anyone had any resources we could use to mitigate losses if we cancel, and any official information that discourages large gatherings of people in light of the prevalence of COVID in Washington State (especially near Seattle). Could we be held legally culpable if the virus sees massive spread at our concert? I really need some solid ammunition to convince these assholes.
