My coworker (26M) woke up to find his dad had passed away in his chair this morning.Â
We work together in a very close, family feeling massage/health/sports clinic. Us coworkers are collaborating spreading out care packages for him and his family over the next few weeks (each of us are going to taking a turn to send something one week).Â
I'm wondering what sort of things I could include in my care package to him. What sort of things did you find helpful after the initial shock wore off?Â
My coworker is a bit of a rough around the edges guy but once you get to know him, he's incredibly sensitive and loyal. We've started to establish a pretty good friendship and look out for one another at work. I just gave him a massage yesterday at work and he was talking about fixing his dad's trailer and how he and his dad had built a gazebo last weekend together. This is so sudden and I'm absolutely gutted for him. Any advice on how I can be a good friend to him would be greatly appreciated!Â
