Post Body

It’s been 5 years no contact, she has had an another child with a new partner, while I remain single. I just got a vague letter in the mail about child support services, is the beginning of a child support case? If so, any advice?

Yeah man, just understand that it's a big game and don't take it personally. Just make your payments and everything will be fine.

If you get a dick judge that calls you names don't let it get to you.

Lawyer up if you feel like you can't do it yourself. Lawyers are expensive but they alleviate lots of stress.

Don't feel bad about not seeing your kid.

Maybe your husband and me have the same BM. I'm dealing with the multi state thing as well.

I live in different states from my ex and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Easier? Not really. What you want to find out is if your state charges interest on arrears. If they do then you may move for that reason.

Yeah it sounds like she opened a case. Hopefully any money you have paid her you have documented because that may help with your arrears.

Read your states childsupport guidelines and get familiar with them.
