I just recently took my ex wife for full custody since she was becoming abusive with both of our kids that are now nine and eleven. During the court precedents she managed to get a lawyer in the middle of the conflict which asked for mine and her financial worksheet, my lawyer worked my sheet and her lawyer did hers for her. Her lawyer did not file a motion for higher child support during the court hearings. Now that court is over with my ex wife now wants to file for more child support after seeing my financial spreadsheet. I cover all medical expenses including dental and vision, split school costs with her as well. Can she legally take me back for more child support when I am the one taking on the financial burden of our children when I only see them on the weekends and once during the week. I am just confused on all of this, our child support was never done through the state and I have never missed a payment, but my lawyer suggested doing it through the state to avoid us having issues which started this whole process.
