I mean, in a perfect society sure. But how are people meant to go to college whose parents didn’t save up for them? Or people who had to work in high school and got bad grades for it? What about people with disabilities, or illnesses in their 20s that made them unable to go to school? But in reality there are lots of reasons people can’t go to school or get out of the entry-level market. Sure, it’s everyone’s responsibility to take care of themselves, but the world is better with more compassion and understanding that many people are simply incapable of getting higher paying jobs, and frankly those people still deserve a quality of life.
Edit: and making the rich corporations pay them a livable wage is fair in my eyes. It’s the corporation’s choice to raise the prices instead of lowering their millionaire wages. We should be mad at the corporations, not the people.
