Little background... A few weeks back when it was very warm out, I noticed a ton of Box Elder bugs on the sunny side of my house. So, I looked up some ways to kill them and ended up mixing some dawn dish soap with water and it worked really well. Then about 2 weeks later, I noticed more and had to do the same thing. Fast forward another 2 weeks to today, a pretty sunny day, I am seeing a ton more on that same side of the house. How can I get rid of these guys permanently?
For the record, I don't see any Box Elder trees near my house.
It's likely you won't get rid of them permanently. Preventing them from getting in is the best way... the dish soap you already mentioned. Diatomaceous Earth on your sills and other surfaces is also effective.
And I agree, they're jerks lol you can't even squish them because they basically bleed glue.
