i definitely prefer hailey’s exiting storyline more than jay’s. jay’s characterization was ignored and things felt rushed. i like that hailey had an unhappiness that was established and built upon with her exit being the climax. i was never a big fan of hailey but i was not one of the people that disliked her either. i think expanding on her connection with voight was great decision and lays interesting groundwork for his character. the question “is voight bad for his team, does he ruin those who come in” is a natural progression for him. since the show started to become so jay and hailey centric, and i wasn’t very fond of either of them, i am looking forward to how the show will feel with its most prominent characters gone.
