Chevy Sonic 2016 Won't Start or Unlock with Fob

Hey ya'll. As ya can read from the post, having some trouble with my Sonic not starting or unlocking with my fob. When I tried to jump it , the lights would turn on, and nothing clicked. I'm 99% sure I need to replace the battery, but since money is tight, wanted to ask around and see if that was for sure what it was before I drop the cash. Thanks ya'll
