Safety Issue Found...

I've found a safety issue that I can't imagine hasn't been reported and recalled.
Today it's snowing and I'm driving my 2020 Equinox. We arrived at our destination and my wife couldn't get out. The door wouldn't open.
I come around and see that the handle is popped out and prevents the door from opening. This just happened because of the ice, what if you're in a wreck, the car is on fire, and the handle is broken outward? You won't be able to get out on that side.
This seems like a HUGE safety problem.
