For context, I'm from Singapore and graduating in May'22. Micron has been aggressively mass hiring here lately - so much so that in most cases they're taking in any willing candidates regardless of GPA and technical abilities. Just recently, they announced that they are further increasing their base pay rates (now flat 60k SGD/annum = 44k USD) which far exceeds the market rate here. There is more to the package as well - OT pay, shift pay, annual bonus etc.

So my main question is whether this is a trap? Their desperation and high turnover rates are throwing me off but I can't deny that the new package is enticing and might help reduce turnover among fresh grads.

What do you guys think I should expect in terms of work culture and career progression in the company? What are some prospects if I were to leave the company early or what is the outlook for process engineers in the industry?
