Starting my first job of my career at ThermoFisher at the end of this month!
Post Body

I just wanted to share this accomplishment with the CHE subreddit because before I got the job, I didn't feel competent enough to actually work in the field. It took me six years to get a double bachelors (CHE and German) and I spent the past three years working in a restaurant. I was always afraid of interviews as I don't really talk myself up that much but through determination and confidence, I finally got the offer I wanted.

I'm super excited to start, but I wanted to say that to whoever is still in school studying for arguably the best engineering discipline, good luck. You will make it to the finish line, even when you fail. I failed my first CHE class but I still persisted, and even though it took me longer, I inevitably learned more and worked harder to get where I am. The master has failed more times than the apprentice has succeeded. Thank you guys and good luck with your semester or your job hunting.
