Hello, i have landed my first job after a fruitless 2 and half year long search. It is a lab chemist in laboratory for a liquid detergent factory. I do check for quality of sample and product. It's still my first month and i almost forgot all my laboratory skills due to long time not being in an actual lab or doing tests. The job is simple nothing to do with engineering. They asked me to work on finding cheaper alternatives for the raw materials which are being used in production. I have no idea how to do that. Any advice would be appreciated. I also want to know what skills and or things i that this job may open for me in future. I dont want to forget the things i worked hard to learn in college. Thank you.
