I’ve just graduated with a BEng (Hons) and was planning to go on to do the MSc but due to budgetary reasons I’ve had to look for a job instead. I really wanted to get into a process engineering role however I have gotten to the final interview stage at a few places, I have fallen short of a job offer.
Today I have been offered a job as a graduate engineer, who tests things such as biomass, coal and waste samples that are sent from different companies. The pay is what I wanted, the employees seem friendly enough, there are opportunities to travel and there is a clear route for progression. My biggest concern is if I done this job for a few years, how hard would it be for me to get back into a process orientated role?
This is in the UK, if that matters
