Resources to learn about “Root Cause Analysis”?

Post Body
I have an interview coming up and the requirements state that the candidate should ”Demonstrate a methodical approach to root cause analysis (RCA) when addressing issues”. I don’t remember ever being taught this, nor do other students I know. Is there a resource I can have a look at? So I will be able to answer questions if they come up.
Google hasn’t turned up any useful results, so ideally would be looking for an explanation here or a literature reference
