Hey y’all,
I’m a professional massage therapist in Houston, TX, working at a luxury hotel. I’m also on call, offering professional services at clients’ homes, offices, etc. Most of my clients are repeat customers and referrals, so from time to time, I offer free massage sessions on Reddit to bring in more repeat or referral clients.
Massage can still be a taboo subject for some women and their partners, especially receiving massage from a male therapist. Meanwhile, some women enjoy the experience of being touched by a professional. Interestingly, men tend to book massages more often than women. But this isn’t the main point I want to discuss.
As I mentioned, I work at a hotel and have met many clients through my hotel work. Some clients prefer in-home sessions over visiting the hotel, largely because I offer Yoni Sensual massage, which hotel policy does not allow on the premises. While this type of massage is generally considered a gray area in Texas, I offer it legally by charging only for a standard massage session.
Occasionally, though, I’ve had awkward experiences with clients’ partners unexpectedly showing up during a session and acting aggressively toward me. Although I understand their concerns, I’m simply a professional doing my job. While I haven’t been physically threatened—perhaps due to my size (I’m 6’2” and a big guy)—even tense verbal exchanges are uncomfortable.
To be clear, most of my clients and their partners are open-minded people. Some have open relationships or are in the lifestyle, and their partners sometimes stay to observe the session if my client is comfortable with it. I’m fine with that, as I’m here to provide a service professionally and respectfully.
So, what do y’all think? Do you consider Sensual massage to be cheating? Coming from Europe, I know many European countries view it as a form of self-care.
Thanks for your time, and have a great day.
