Need packable lunch ideas for me and my boyfriend to take to work.
Post Body

Hello, this is my first time posting here, so please let me know if I'm in the wrong place! My boyfriend and I have decided that it's time we made in effort to save money (and our arteries) by packing lunch for work.

A little background, we're both pretty broke, and a LOT of our money went towards fast food (we get it 7 days a week).

He is an okay cook, can do basic things and has a one or two dishes he can really embellish. I am an absolutely juvenile cook when it comes to real food but am an okay baker. Almost nothing is intuitive for me in the kitchen.

We work in the same place, so we're going to alternate who preps the lunches day to day. We have access to a fridge and a microwave at the office.

He hates: tuna, chicken salad, sweet baked goods.

I hate: tuna, brussel sprouts, any kind of soup that isn't chowder or butternut squash.

We both love cheese and fruit.

We both have access to full sets of cookware.

Any ideas would highly appreciated! I'm honestly quite stumped...

EDIT: thank you all so much for all these ideas! They're exactly what I was looking for and I think I'll use this thread for a long while as a reference. Thanks again!

Chicken fajitas are great! Chop chicken breasts and sauté in a pan with chili powder, garlic powder, a little salt and pepper, then throw in some sliced red bell pepper and onion towards the end. Pack it in Tupperware with a couple tortillas.

Probably hot, whatever you prefer though as long as the chicken is cooked.
