Post Body

Hi people!

I am a novice regarding AI and I am currently looking for a way to analyse the content of web links, pdfs, slides or youtube videos using the GPT api to have it interact with users.

What are the current best practises regarding this? Should i use embeddings or use some libraries that can extract text from those different data sources?

Thanks for you time!

I struggled for weeks working with teams that wanted to use all kinds of document types (pdf, powerpoints, word docs, websites, git repos, etc) in an LLM-ready prompt format that allowed GPT to actually work with the documents in a functional way (text visual).

We came across the problem so much that we hosted our own solution at thepi.pe -- we made it open source for any nerds that want to host it for themselves!
