I built a GPT yesterday. It worked great. Then it just changed it’s mind and starting not performing it’s full instructions. It would just do step one and stop. I edited and made it abundantly clear - didn’t help. This is not a time issue.

I’ve also expressly told it “never use people’s names in any prompt” - but it still does. I’ve tried to word it differently - doesn’t help.

These are just two examples, there are more. Time and time again, it just ignores my instructions. But again… it worked at first. Then changed its mind.

So… Is it me, or do GPTs just do whatever they want?! How do I make it actually follow my instructions?

Edit: I am noticing that when I use the “create” feature to add things, it sometimes overwrites older instructions. So maybe that’s it. I’m gonna try to only manually edit the instructions via the “configure” panel. Well, I’m gonna try that as soon as my data cap refreshes. Ha.
