Can Chat GPT read a folder of text/word/google docs?

Post Body

I keep trying to figure out if there is a way to give (link, upload, etc) ChatGPT a folder of documents so that I can ask it questions about the content and for things like summaries.

The website says even the free version has some "load files" capabilities, but when I ask ChatGPT it says I can only copy/paste text in.

Ideally, what I'm looking for is some way to have a folder of approx 40 documents that I can have ChatGPT use as input. Is this possible in the free version? the paid version?

thanks for any help!
