Questions about creating my own GPT and instructions

Post Body

Hello, I have built a custom GPT that takes images and written text and output YAML to import into the Drupal 10 Webform module. It then takes the YAML and creates XML that can be used to create email to send out to CRM systems.

I have provided examples and structure all in an uploaded instructions text file. The examples are intertwined within the instructions for specific use case scenarios. I do provide full examples of the YAML structure and the XML structure.

While this GPT works, it doesn’t always follow my instructions throughly and I have to remind it to follow the instructions precisely honoring the formatting in provided examples.

A few questions: How do I make sure that the GPT follows the instructions all the time. In the instructions text box in the GPT creation UI, I direct it to the instructions telling it to precisely follow instructions. It’s still hit-n-miss on this.

Is mixing in the example YAML and XML in the instructions mucking up things? If this is the case, how do I make sure the GPT references separate uploaded files for formatting reference? Is there a case where there are too many files? Too many instructions?

In writing the instructions, I’ve been referencing that 26 point checklist that’s floating around. Is there a guide for writing instructions for a custom GPT and how it should be formatted/uploaded?
