During lunch I took account of all the things Ms. Hannah and I had in common. She was much more approachable than I previously thought. We cracked a few jokes and enjoyed eachothers company. If she wasn’t my boss I would think of her as a friend. After our steaks we decided to split a cheesecake because we were both too full for a full piece. The rest of the day dragged on the boring office job life can really get to you. I was looking forward to 5pm so I could go to Hannah’s office and get some new and potentially exciting work apart from my every day stuff. So that’s what I did.

“Oh man, is it 5 o’clock already, sorry I guess I’ve just been day dreaming in here and lost tract of time.” Hannah hesitantly responded.

“Well it’s not quite 5 yet but I’m done with my work today and wanted to see what you had for me”

“Well you can started on this stack of papers I need to go through them by next week. Any notes you could take would help me out a lot.” Hannah motioned towards a stack a documents on the corner of her desk

Hannah and I sat around her desk till 7:30 go through these papers together before she stood up and announced ,”alright it’s time for some wine. I’ve had enough of tis work I’m going home.”

I agreed that was enough work for the day before excusing myself from her office and back to my desk to pack up for the day. Hannah and I walked to the elevator at the same time noticing a stack of papers in her hand I asked, “oh man are you taking that work home with you?”

“Yeah I usually end up with an hour out two of work that I finish up at home. I gotta stay on top of this stuff so I don’t miss any deadlines.” Hannah confessed

“Taking work home really sucks”I commented as the elevator dings

“Yeah well that’s what I get for being the boss. Any way have a good night I’ll see you tomorrow.”Hannah said as we exited the building and she locked the door

Arriving at home Sarah’s car wasn’t there so I sent her a text “hey babe just got home. Hope the wedding planning is going well. Tell Abby I said hi. Love you.” Before heading inside

I showered and ate dinner before sitting on the couch. I scrolled my phone for a few minutes until I got a text from Sarah around 9, “Heyy I moss you. I been driinking. I’m gonna saty wit Abby tight.”
