This happened recently, I renewed my EAD card (for those of you who don't familiar with it, it's a work authorization document) but never got it, called USPS but no results, I was hoping whoever got it would return it, but that never happened, since it's not really an important document, I don't really need to show it to my employers, I decided to wait and see maybe I wouldn't need it. A month later , I was checking my account saw my checking account only had $1000 left , and I was wondering what happened then seeing bunch of transactions made within a week. Those transactions were made under $1500. I went to the bank file a fraud claim a few days ago , lost nearly $9000, all the theft needed was my ID,,, the bank teller told me the theft can withdraw money by just using your ID for a small amount of money, isn't it crazy ? Why banks are so not safe, I was wondering how the theft actually did it by just using my ID, they stole my mails but I don't think they know my ssn or account numbers...
Also the bank teller told me fraud like this happened a lot this year in Chase bank....
