I bank with Chase and have for many years. I have a check from Progressive for hail damage to my car with my name and the repair shops name on it. The repair shop has rescheduled me twice now and I am on my 3rd replacement check from Progressive since they do expire. My new repair appointment is now in February 2024 so I decided to go the repair shop and ask them to endorse the check so I could deposit it so I donβt have to call Progressive and ask for ANOTHER CHECK since this new one would be expired again in February. They told me No and said I can just go deposit it as a lot of their customers do and have no issues. I am happy to mobile deposit the check and move the funds to savings for when they actually do repair my car. I am just concerned if this is Ok or not with the bank or if it would just slide under the radar with mobile deposit. I do not want to cause any issues with Chase as I have been with them for 10 years. Anyone got any advice? or can you tell me what can happen if it is flagged? TIA!
