Alternate reality/Kaela origin idea
Post Body

Okay for starters, I’m sure everyone jumped to the imagination of Diana talking about Phoebe being the powerful witch with premonition opening gateways to alternate realities. It would be cool to have at least her show up for some nostalgia but it’s not likely.

BUT, since the show has decided to just throw alternate realities out there all last minute, I feel like it would’ve made more sense to have introduced that aspect earlier in the season and Kaelas origin story could have been connected to the sisters that way.

Imagine a storyline where Marisol retrieves Kaela from another reality where Kaela is that Marisol’s daughter. Our Marisol could have went to save her counterpart from a demon trying to kill all versions of herself but didn’t make it in time and saves baby Kaela instead and brings her to her own reality, binds her magic to protect her from evil, and then gives her up for adoption allowing her to safely go unnoticed, thus allowing Macy, Maggie, and Mel to continue their destiny as charmed ones.

I feel like this could’ve made a lot more sense than stem cells. The stem cell idea could’ve still be part of the storyline though, like creating a coincidental connection for all of the sisters showing they were always drawn to each other. Or the stem cell transfer could be what activated Kaelas powers. There are just so many better ways to have told her story, I actually really liked the character.

This reboot has had a bad habit of storylines just mushing together and not making sense. Everything is so rushed and leave us with nothing to the imagination.
