Why does Verizon not take Charlottesville seriously?
Post Body

Hi there. I moved here last year from Harrisonburg. One thing I noticed was Verizon is pretty bad here compared to in Harrisonburg. Both towns have about the same amount of population, yet there are tons of dead spots here. Plus, UVA is bigger than JMU so you would think wireless carriers would take it more seriously here. But nope, in my experience Verizon was superior back in Harrisonburg. I had another friend who moved here and had the same experience and had to switch carriers. Verizon even has 5G UW up and running back home but of course not here. I'm not frustrated, there are other options but just curious why. The only thing I can think of, it's due to the number of mountains here, thus blocking signals.

Is it better? I've been eyeing AT&T for a while lately. I've had them in the past and always had a reliable connection in my experience.

Update: I decided to go back to T-Mobile today through US Mobile and suddenly I have full 5G bars and can get over 600Mbps at my apartment so far. Crazy! I'd be stuck with 1Mbps with Verizon's congestion during the day. So much better now, already!
