Why didn't any of the Charlotte characters feature in Kaginado?

So if anyone has watched Kaginado, it's full of references to all of Jun Maeda and VisualArt Key's greatest works (Clannad, Kanon, Air, Rewrite, Angel Beats and Little Busters etc.) But strangely the Charlotte characters don't feature.

I believe Charlotte is similar like Angel Beats in that it was an original anime created by Key (although I actually think angel beats is the most overrated) and I think media came after the anime rather than before but I could be wrong. I've played the VNs for all the others so I know their sources. Does anyone have any theories?
