I put the spoiler tag so I'm just going to ramble a bit and just talk about what my thoughts are on R&M season 6 so far. We're about a 3rd of the way through as we're getting 10 episodes this season. Obviously, episode 2 through 9 is going to be pack filler before episode 10 continues the plot at least that's my guess. That's how it is from seasons 1-5 so far so obviously that's going to stay the same as before.

Speaking on things that are the same as before, guess what Jerry is the same as before from season 1 to now Jerry has stayed the same while everyone changes even a little bit. Morty changed Season 5 morty is different from season 1 and this is true to Summer and Terrestial Beth, however, Jerry doesn't change the only thing that changed is that from season 2 onward he doesn't have a job so he just home all the time. With the first episode of season 6 not only reintroduces original Jerry or "Prime Jerry" who completely changed due to him having everything around him being let go this should've echoed with our Jerry.

Literally think about it, the Jerry swap was confirmed, and at the very end while jerry is being berated by everyone like in season 2 he stands up for himself, claims to be a space explorer, and flips everyone off this including his rick. This should've been Jerry's moment, sure it was clumsy at the end but that's Jerry he's somewhat goofy. This parallels Prime Jerry's letting go of everything and moving on our Jerry instead embraces the family that actually cares for him and that he cares for.

So how does season 6 fuck this up? Well with episode 3 with beth fucking herself and cuckolding Jerry and Jerry literally seconds away from establishing himself after the whole "Oh when will Jerry stop being a bug" thing and leaving to go to Starbucks and crying; something pathetic but something he chooses to do. To be proactive, which speaking of the whole cuckolding thing should've been reworked, how so? By making it a three way initiated by Jerry himself, the whole "Which one of us is your actual wife" thing could've been solved by Jerry just saying "You are both mine, you're both my Beth". This solidifies that Jerry is taking control and the last of the family to break a mold of typical of them throughout the multiverse while at the same time showing that he loves this Beth, both Beths. Hearing your parents hate fuck talk while doing a three way is just as awkward as the original while not giving your audience CBT.

So from the small 2 episode side mini-arc as well as the whole "Jerry in a iron man suit" in the opening showing Jerry being proactive is character that this something deserves. That and Rick off handily commenting how he made Jerry "Slightly above average" or something but noooooo instead we get the same static character and a tip tease about Jerry growing some balls and the one that did get shot in the head like a cow to slaughter. Jerry deserves better writing and to be uncucked, life sucks man.
