So what is a "Angry dad simulator", its a title given to a game title which describes you as a middle aged man and you would have a young sometimes annoying companion OR you're trying to get your child back. Some examples would be stuff like the Last of Us, PS4 God of War and even Bioshock 2 and The Walking Dead Telltale game.
I don't know why but just stories where older men just kicks the fuck out of people and kill them while their young annoying kid just in the background just clicks for me. Sure they have similar story beats but like most stories do if you know the genre already, and really I'm looking for books and other media which got this sort of feel bu its just something I love to the point I subconsciously had it in a D&D game I'm in (thankfully its just me and the DM) where sure I'm playing a 24 year old emotionally abusive and manipulative paladin/bard gestalt but there's a slight tinge of fatherly love he's giving to a doll of a 9 year old.
I also don't want to be disillusioned with it at all so I might take a break from this genre but I will always hold it close to my heart because I love apparently love to birth or adoptive children to be beautiful as hell. That and its a new development to a character who isn't usually in a caregiver role just having it placed on them.
