I’m sure you’ve all heard the new attack on titan final season part 3 (we swear it’s the last time) news and honestly with these news I’ve realized how much I stopped caring about it

First things first, no it’s not mappa’s fault I feel that they have done a stellar job considering how little time they had though their producer/management team needs to take a closer look at their animators before thinking of taking on any series but that’s a whole another story

Now the “problems” I have with AOT are a little bit personal more than anyone else but I stopped caring about season 4 right around episode 10 I believe, I just couldn’t care less about the characters and the plot

I can’t pinpoint the specific reason but it’s probably the introduction to the world “out there” and the fact that I’m expected to care about it when I’ve been introduced to it for like a total of 6 episodes, not to mention the disappointing “origin” of the titans (I don’t care it’s some primordial creature they’ve done a bad job explaining it)

And speaking of the world the rumbling my god if there is something I still don’t get the hype behind it’s the rumbling, first you explain what these titans are doing inside the walls cool you’ve done a good job second you tell they have the power to destroy the world, oh you mean the world that I only had a total of 6 episodes to care about and in these 6 episodes they have expressed their disdain for the island devils? Oh yeah I really care about what happens to them

Listen I’m not trying to justify genocide here that’s a dumb thing to do obviously genocide is bad it doesn’t take a scientist to see that but you have to agree there’s a problem with the writing when there’s a big percentage of fans that agree with eren’s ideals of killing them all (but maybe all fans of any series are brain dead what do I know 🤷)

And when the rumbling happened, I couldn’t understand the hype behind it like don’t get me wrong it was very cool, but I couldn’t for the life of me find the 10/10 “peak fiction” “no other series comes close to it” that the other fans found in it on social media, is something wrong with me? was there a meeting that explained the peakness behind it that I didn’t attend?

Speaking of social media, I got spoiled on every detail regarding the manga thanks to shitheads that can’t let anyone else have fun with the show and maybe that also contributed to my lack of care for the show because I knew everything that’s gonna happen and will happen

And to be fair even then in season 3 I couldn’t see the 10/10 moments everyone was seeing so maybe this ALOT more related to me than I thought but whatever

All in all I’ll keep watching it to see the final conclusion of the series and who knows maybe I’ll warm up to the FINAL season after an entire rewatch of the series but as of now this is my opinion of the series and hopefully they change because I still got love for it
