Often, you'll see on whowouldwin or other battle boarding forums "Who's the weakest character that can defeat X?" prompts. Disregarding the fact that "weakest" is not very well defined at all, the response is usually some sort of haxy character with an ability that ignores durability or something like that. (There's also "weakest character that can tank X" prompts and for those the answer's almost always Casper the Friendly Ghost).
However, the issue here is that when there is a massive speed differential, the weak character probably gets redmisted before they can activate their durability negating power and win. Or their durability negating power just gets dodged.
Introducing Charlotte Corday, from Reincarnation No Kaben. She's the solution for all your "kill way stronger character" needs. She has two powers that assist in this. One of them is "Angel of Assassination" which allows her to select a target to assassinate. All damage she takes will be reflected on her target, and if she dies, her target guaranteed to die as well (so that kills you too, pesky regeneraters. You can regenerate from transferred damage, but death=death no matter what.)
That part of her ability is pretty frequent though. Kira with the Death Note or Thunder McQueen from Jojo can pretty much do the same thing.
Well, the second part of her ability is also important. The Virgin of Caen makes her invulnerable to all damage before she has chosen a target. Additionally, after she has chosen a target, her target cannot be harmed or die to anything other than Angel of Assassination.
That fixes her getting speedblitzed before using her power. And if you speedblitzed her after she used her power, you've still killed yourself by triggering Angel of Assassination's damage reflection clause.
Now, I'm sure many of you are crying NLF at this. Reincarnation No Kaben spoilers ahead.
In series, she used her ability on Kouu to save him after he was mortally wounded. Kouu is the "strongest Returner under the heavens". His ability, Omnireceptacle allows him to emit an aura that takes control of everything inside it. He can use it to take control of space to teleport himself and teleport others to him, he can turn intangible, he can merge with the environment, and he can infuse his power into objects to make them do much more damage and telekinetically control them. He can also alter people's memories and his strongest move involves him creating a sphere that is subject to his control at a molecular level and supposedly "embodies the full energy of the Big Bang."
Kouu's claim of being the strongest Returner is justified, in my opinion. There are Returners that make bigger booms (Nobel and Tesla are continental to lifewiping), but Kouu has everyone beat in versatility and hax. And Charlotte's ability worked to kill Kouu in their double suicide. Additionally, Kouu was severely injured from a fatal wound that tore out most of his torso, and The Virgin of Caen prevented him from dying from it (the victim is immune to all damage except from Angel of Assassination). We haven't seen Charlotte show feats of invulnerability before using her power as far as I know, but her ability's demonstration of its power to nullify damage on the target is impressive.
Essentially, I believe that for <planetary level characters, there's no issue in saying that Corday's ability one-shots them, and only for planetary level and above would I consider there being potential issues with NLF depending on the situation.
Other than these two abilities, Charlotte Corday is only as strong as a normal person. So she fulfills the "weak" part quite well.
Corday only works as a response to this type of prompt if you believe that killing the other character at the cost of your own life counts as a "defeat".
Another character that has a similar type of ability is Camila Hui Guo Ruo from Hunter x Hunter. The issue is that her ability requires her to be killed by someone to trigger. The opponent can win just by incapacitating her or avoiding her and waiting for her to die of natural causes.
