Idk if anyone is caught with the recent one piece wano arc but there have been some implications that the gum gum fruit that we all know may not be a gum gum fruit at all

HEAVY SPOILERS OBVOUSLY

it all started with chapter 1018 when it was revealed that Gum fruit was stolen from a government's ship by shanks (also there was a whole thing about a sun god but that's a lesser problem for me tbh), also earlier in the chapters luffy expressed resistance to fire which is a quality that's isn't attributed to rubber and when asked why the answer was just "guts and in the recent chapter (chp 1042) kaido's expressed that has never seen rubber that "acts like that" and in chp 1037 the gorosei have expressed that they tried to devil fruit was hidden in the annals of history

So what could luffy devil fruit be you might ask? thats a good question, fans are theorizing it might be a legendary sun wukong zoan type fruit (a character that inspired luffy's character) I wont go too deep into his powers but all that one needs to know he can stretch his arms and is resistant to both FIRE and lightning AND rebelled against heaven (all qualities that luffy shares)

Now with all of what was previously mentioned why will I drop the series if the sun wukong devil fruit theory turns out to actually be true? because it undermines all of luffy's achievements, I don't mind luffy being a special "chosen one" because no way did the series express otherwise he's the grandson of the strongest marine official AND the son of the leader of the revolutionaries he's always been special

The gum gum fruit has always been a B tier level fruit that was enhanced by its user but with the potential of the reveal of the new devil fruit it just says that luffy was always meant to eat that fruit and was always meant to discover its powers and was always meant to change the world and its just disappointing like make luffy the character special all you want but don't make everything around him curated to make him succeed it will just undermine all of his achievement to being just "born special"
