Can we have a feature that lets us delete character messages

Being able to delete characters messages would be so helpful. For example, there are many instances where I accidentally press the send button twice so it’d generate a second message after the first one. To get rid of it, I’d have to delete my message. This is really annoying since it deletes the other message the character generated. Can we be able to delete character messages
