One of the things I loved about Chad was his dedication to mic technique not only for himself but for others. I cannot count the number of times he would chastize someone for smacking their lips on the mic. Over the past few months, I have noticed Chad smacking his lips more and more on the mic (in between truly gross belches). It used to be every once in a while, but now it is like a verbal crutch; he smacks his lips before almost every statement. In many ways, it is being used as a placeholder such as "umm."
Is this something that was always there, but better board settings hid it? Chad himself trained me to hate lip-smacking and now he is doing it! It is freaking me out.
